Small Groups

FISH GROUPS

Homeport Christian Church’s small groups consist of FISH (Fellowship In Someone’s Home) groups. The FISH groups are community groups of 6 to 12 people that meet for a time of Bible study, support, accountability, spiritual growth, and service. FISH groups may be open to all, or they may be designed specifically for women, singles, students, parents needing childcare, or those who prefer a daytime meeting. However, those identifying a particular need within the church may be able to form others. There is potentially something for everyone!

Take a sheet, give them a call, and get started with a group that could someday change your life. If you have additional questions, call the church at 797-8921.

Do you wonder why small groups are important?

In The Beginning…Small Groups have been in existence in the church since its beginning

Acts 2:42-47 described the Church’s first ones by saying,
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
